JOE LUCAS & PARRISH CHILCOAT
Lucas Studio, Inc., a boutique interior design firm started in 2005 by Joe Lucas and Parrish Chilcoat, is dedicated to providing stylish, comfortable and sustainable
interiors. Joe and Parrish strive to meet the needs of each client by focusing on their lifestyle, the architecture of their space and required budgetary guidelines.
They build a gameplan with the client that is achievable and realistic. Personal attention is a hallmark of their approach and making the process fun is a constant goal!
Joe started his career working for close friend and mentor Claudia Benevenuto, at the fainting couch in Los Angeles. She brought him onto several residential projects
and he became hooked. At the same time, Parrish worked for Suzanne Rheinstein, venerable owner of the West Hollywood store Hollyhock. Parrish assisted Suzanne Rheinstein
and Joe Nye on several high end residential projects for her interior design division, Suzanne Rheinstein & Associates.
Both Joe and Parrish met after starting jobs within a week of each other at acclaimed interior design firm Michael S Smith Inc. in Los Angeles. They quickly became close friends and for 3 years they trained under Michael, eventually managing large scale residential and commercial projects in Los Angeles, Malibu, Montecito and New York. The experience, knowledge and aesthetic influence they both gained during this time have been invaluable.
Projects completed by Lucas Studio, Inc. include a ground-up residence in Little Silver, NJ; a full residential remodel in Rumson, NJ; A waterfront property in Key Largo, FLA; A contemporary beach front residence designed by architect David Hertz in Venice, CA and several residential projects in Rolling Hills, Palos Verdes and Los Angeles, Ca. They are currently working on houses in Bel Air, Brentwood, Palos Verdes and Encino, CA, as well as Bay Head, NJ.
Lucas Studio, Inc. has been featured in Angeleno, Wired and several ‘green’ publications for their work on the David Hertz property. They have been selected as the exclusive interior decorators of the “Wired Living Home” showcase house in Brentwood, CA which will be open to the public in October 2007.
The Design Studio is located at “Almont Yard,” a design community on West Hollywood’s Almont Drive also consisting of Nathan Turner Antiques, Claremont Fabrics and Peter Dunham’s Hollywood At Home showroom.
